Learn to Sail in One Day from Poreč

Spend 11 hours on the Adriatic learning the basics of sailing with a local skipper. The One-Day Sailing Course Poreč starts from Marina Parentium, follows the calm waters of the Vrsar archipelago, and gives you real time at the wheel. You sail, you swim, you learn by doing.

The One-Day Sailing Course Poreč is fully private. Your skipper shows you how to read the wind, raise the sails, hold the wheel, and steer the yacht in calm bays. You learn step by step, at your own pace, with time to stop for a swim or snorkel whenever you feel like it.

The course is open to everyone aged 15 and up, with no sailing experience needed. By the end of the day, you will know how a yacht works, you will have handled it yourself, and you will know if sailing is for you. We do not issue a certificate, but the confidence you take home is the point.

What's Included in the One-Day Sailing Course Poreč

Weekend Sailing in Poreč

Summary

Arrive at Marina Parentium 15 minutes before our 9 AM start. Come by car, taxi, the Poreč tourist train, or pre-arranged transfer. Your local skipper will meet you at the reception entrance and walk you to the yacht.

On Board

Poreč

Step on board for a short safety briefing and a tour of the yacht. The skipper shows you what each part is called, how the sails work, and what we will do during the day. No experience is needed, just curiosity. The adventure begins Friday morning at the Konzum supermarket in Pula, the perfect place to grab your food, drinks, and any last-minute items for your Weekend Sailing in Istria. After a quick shopping stop, our friendly instructor will guide the group to the marina, where your Elan 331 sailboat is waiting. The skipper will provide a practical introduction to the boat, covering safety, equipment, and the itinerary for the weekend.

Cast Off

We leave Marina Parentium and head into the calm waters of the Vrsar archipelago. The skipper hands you the wheel early, teaches you how to read the wind, raise the sails, and feel how the yacht reacts to small adjustments.

Poreč

Mid-morning, we drop anchor in a quiet bay along the Poreč Riviera. Take a swim, snorkel in clear water, and rest for a moment before the next sailing session. Drinks and light refreshments are on board all day.

Back under sail, you put what you have learned into practice. The skipper guides you through tacking, jibing, anchoring, and reading the wind across longer stretches, until each step feels natural and clear.
